SOLD: BLUE CHIP ("BLUE")
1990 Black Thoroughbred Gelding (16.0 hands)

Congratulations to Katie Breen and trainer Bridget Orist of Gurnee, IL, on the purchase of Blue!

Owner sadly must sell.

Blue has taught tons of kids, and a few adults, over the years. He has a huge step, a can't-miss lead change, and an easy jump that is perfect for beginners. He always gets a piece of the hack, and can hold his own at the AAs against the big boys. He's done it all, but now he just wants to be a 2'6" horse. He would be perfect to bring your short stirrup rider into the 2'0" and 2'6" divisions, and will get them ready for their first children's hunter.

Blue prefers a quiet ride. This doesn't mean he's wild or crazy; he just doesn't appreciate a lot of excess motion from his rider. It makes him nervous, and then he gets quick. But if you can sit still, you'll be fine. Just grab the mane and he'll take you around the course.

Show Results:

  • Long Stirrup 17 & Under (2'6"), May 2006 (Mason City "A")
  • Novice Children's Hunters, February 2006 (Ledges "A")
  • Modified Adult Hunters, June 2005 (Lamplight "AA")
  • Children's Hunters, January 2005 (Ledges "A")
