HILLCREST LOVEBUG ("LAINEY")
2000 Medium Welsh Pony Mare (13.2 hands)
Gayfield's Vida Blue x Prima Donna

Congratulations to Hailey Livingston and trainer Katie Dean of Kansas on the purchase of Lainey!!! Best of luck in 2009, and good luck at Pony Finals! Special thanks to Mary Ann Funk.

Want a ribbon at Pony Finals? Show Lainey in 2008 in the medium green division!

Lainey is truly a gem! We bought her for an 8 year old boy when she was only 3 years old. Having done that job and been fantastic every step along the way, she is now ready to move along and share her generous personality and winning ways with another family.

Lainey is eligible to compete in the green pony hunter division, but is easy and reliable enough to do the short stirrup. In the 2005 season, she competed in the medium pony division (2'6") on our local circuit and earned a top year-end award (no one can remember whether it was second or third!). At only 5 years old, this was quite an accomplishment! In 2006 she did a couple of local shows, a little showing in the children's pony division, and got her permanent measurement card. In 2007 we were excited to campaign her in the greens, but in January her owner decided that he wanted to do the jumpers! We reinstated her green status, but not before she got a champion in the green division the very first time out!

Lainey is quiet, sound, safe, and easy. She has a huge step, an amazing canter, and a great jump. Always gets a good piece of the hack. Almost anyone can ride her, and her fantastic canter rhythm makes finding the jumps a breeze. She would be equally suitable as a short-stirrup pony and as a medium pony hunter. This is truly a special pony, and owning her will be an incredible experience for the right child. Should vet easily.

Owners may consider a one-year lease.
