SAINT NICK ("Nick")
1990 Bay Thoroughbred Gelding (16.0 hands)

Nick is truly a wonder horse. He was diagnosed with terminal pulmonary fibrosis in July of 2008, and given no hope of making it through the summer, much less returning to work. Against the odds, he has made a miraculous recovery. He didn't like retirement, however, so he continues to work in our school. Nick made his return to the show ring in January 2009, earning a short stirrup tricolor along the way.

In his younger years, Nick was an "A" circuit children's hunter. He won impressive ribbons all across the midwest, including victories at Trader's Point and Lamplight. He then went on to have a lovely career as a ladies' dressage horse before joining the Palladia Farm Riding School. As a result, Nick is very well-schooled in both jumping and dressage.

Nick is suitable for beginner through advanced riders. He is incredibly quiet and reliable. He does beautiful dressage for riders of all levels, as well as beginner jumping. He is insanely fun to ride. Because his lungs are compromised, he does not work on very hot or humid days when it's hard for him to breathe.
